How it works
Method
Translate pen strength into concentration
The tool treats the labeled pen strength as being delivered in 0.6 mL, then converts that into mg/mL.
From there it calculates the volume needed for the selected dose.

Translate volume into clicks
Each click is modeled as 0.01 mL.
The calculator rounds volume to clicks, then estimates how many extracted doses fit into the usable pen volume.
Formula or method
Concentration = Pen strength mg ÷ 0.6 mL
Required volume = Desired dose mg ÷ Concentration
Clicks = Required volume ÷ 0.01 mL
Doses available = floor(Usable volume ÷ Required volume)
Example
A 10 mg pen at a 2.5 mg target dose gives about 0.15 mL, 15 clicks, and 16 estimated doses.
A 15 mg pen at a 5 mg target dose gives about 0.20 mL, 20 clicks, and 12 estimated doses.
